I have just realised how I haven’t reviewed any of the books I’ve read recently, so I’m just going to write them all out now…
My thirty-fourth review is The Hunger Games; Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.
Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark did a catastrophe of the most compelling kind. They rebelled against the Capitol.
Not intentionally, of course, it just happened. Only one could live, so both must die.
And the Capitol wants revenge.
So now, with Katniss as the Girl On Fire, and Peeta as her star-struck lover, they must defeat the Games again.
Once and for all.
Not knowing who to trust, they must work together to gain allies and kill enemies. But who can you trust when the Capitol begs for your blood?
With the Capitol thinking Katniss is a mother-to-be, will it make her seem stronger or just more vulnerable?
Besides, wouldn’t that be killing two birds with one stone?
But even the ones she trusted have turned against her. And now Peeta is lost forever.
For all eternity.
As the new leader for the Mockingjay rebels, will Katniss do what it takes to over-run the Capitol? Save the people already lost to madness? Save the few who’s destined for more than death?
But most of all, will Katniss save herself before it’s too late?
Or is she already lost…
…TO THE HUNGER GAMES.
I would rate this book a 9/10 and would recommend it for readers over the age of 13.
AND LET THE ODDS BE FOREVER IN YOUR FAVOUR.
