a lil bit o' bio

Do you guys remember when I said this blog will be undertaking a blog makeover? Well it's happening!

A new, final blog name may or may not have been decided (spoiler - it has!), cute little social media clicky things are being checked out, page buttons are being designed... it's all happening!

So, the first thing that I'm doing is adding an 'About' page, but, well, I'm not too sure on it... Alas, here I am to share it with you guys before it becomes a thing
Here's the draft;

OPENING QUOTE
"Only dead fish swim with the current" - random poet I met at a book festival

So, you want to stalk me a little bit more and know more about the very true struggle of walking up two stairs at a time? Fine, go ahead. I'll start you off with some facts.

My name is Amy-Anne Williams, I am 15 years old, Welsh but living in London (the logic), and I love car rides so much that I actually get disappointed when we reach our destination. I'm the sort of person who would rather jump out a window than do a 30 second school presentation and I blush a lot because my cheeks think that embarrassing me is cool. To quote Tumblr, my life "can be most accurately described by the sound a wet sponge makes when you throw it on the floor". If that doesn't want to make you read on then I don't know what will.

I don't believe in love at first sight (for all you know they could have hairy toes), and I'm not part of any religious gangs. As Hyde from That 70s Show (big fan) once said, "while I respect the Judeo-Christian ethic, as well as the Eastern philosophies and of course the teachings of Mohammad, I find that organised religion has corrupted those beliefs to justify countless atrocities throughout history. If I were to attend church, I would be a hypocrite." The Hyde character, just so you know, is insanely awesome.

My hobbies include eating and complaining that I'm getting fat, organising my bedroom into an assault course designed to help those who enter work out and lose weight, and telling people why Squidward is an underrated character - evidence - "this statue represents the gaping, mashing maw of consumerism, the endless cavern it creates within us all... I call it oppression". SERIOUSLY SO UNDERRATED.

JUST OVER HALFWAY QUOTE
"That girl over there looks like she's just rolled off an assembly line - the processed hair, synthetic tan, face full of ejectables, blank stare... if you ask me, it's imperfection that's alluring. Total symmetry is bland." - Mark Surburgatory

Still with me? If you are.. why are you doing this to yourself??

I play the ukulele, despite one of my fingers having a scar where the string (hella uncomfortable) goes, due to me accidentally cycling into a car a few years back and bursting my finger open. I have a stone stuck in my right thumb from when I was younger because, well I'm clumsy and idek. I love the ocean, my dog, tea, chocolate brownie icecream and cats (more than people). I believe in equality of race, sexuality and gender and can't quite comprehend why the world is still Patriarchal-orientated. My favourite Disney character is Nani from Lilo and Stitch as she is a curvy, strong, independent woman and completely overrides the fragile, thin stereotype of typical Disney characters.

I have cold kneecaps 24/7. I relate to Mike Wazowski on an emotional level. I accidentally drop/ spill/ break things a lot. I'm an impatient ass and if you walk slowly then just know that I will hate you forever. I click my fingers, both up and down and from side to side. I love The Simpsons and The Big Bang Theory. I grow plants because aw so cute my babies asdf. I have approximately 84 shoes and just under half-a-thousand novels. I read a lot, write a lot, take more photos than there are Pewdiepie subscribers and I want to travel anywhere I possibly can. I constantly pull doors when they say push.  I quad skate and am learning how to use my pennyboard without falling off and dying.

For those of you who need to know, this is what I look like on a good day.. believe me though, they are rare and intensely selfie-inducing.

What do you guys think? Too long? Too personal? Too bland? Comment below and let me know!

Have a great day!

  5. This was so interesting (and funny at times!) to read through - I'm also a huge fan of road trips and am nearly always the person to shout 'ROAD TRIP' when getting into the car to travel uh.. anywhere!

  10. You are obviously seriously awesome. I LOVED THIS POST. I was seriously super cool to get to know you a little bit better. ;-) I have scars on my fingers from playing cello. But from playing cello. THE DARN CELLO HAS SCARRED ME. Meanie. I would rather jump out the window than speak for 30 seconds in front of people too.
