Recipes For Dummies; Cake Of Love

Ingredients;

50g/2oz caster sugar
50g/2oz softened butter
1 free range egg, pre-beaten
50g/2oz self-raising flour
Half a teaspoon of vanilla essence

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius/ 375 degrees Fahrenheit/ Gas Mark 5. Put the sugar, butter and egg in a mixing bowl and beat until creamy and smooth. Sift the flour into a bowl (this gets air into the flour and makes the cakes fluffier). Add in the vanilla essence and stir. Then place the mixture into a heart-shaped tin and leave in the oven for half an hour. Then, the most important bit - wash up! Take the cake out when ready and cover with icing (optional), then eat it aaaaaaaall up!!

I overcooked mine, and I'd already used up all the icing. So my cake turned out like this...

Close up!

Woah, this camera setting makes the cake look almost edible...

It was as hard as rock...

My amazing photo-editing skills...
Still gorgeous-tasting, though!!

    1. Haha(: Sorry its really vague, but my mother took my laptop away until I tidied my room, and it was already ready on my Drafts so I thought I could get away with it quickly. I'm on my phone now, trying to tidy my room at the same time, but racing about on my skates(: <3
