Meet the one and only Daizy Star

Daizy is searching for a way to shine. Could the class trip to France help her find her hidden talent/ At least it'll be an escape from the embarrassment of Dad's latest nutty job – dressing up as a giant squirrel!

In Paris with her classmates, Daizy feels inspired – she's going to be a famous artist! Will her star quality be spotted? Or will it be more splattered, splashed and muddied?

On a school trip to France, Daizy believes that she could finally find her talent in the wonderful city of Paris. But with best friends Willow and Beth head over heels for the most annoying boy in the world, and her best boy mate leaving to go to art school, Daizy can't think of anything else. And she still hasn't won Star Of The Week. Just typical.

Living up to her expectations, Cathy creates a beautiful finale to the Daizy star series. I almost shed a tear when Daizy left me for her new highschool. A brilliant short read that had laughing throughout the whole story, this is a book you surely cannot miss off your Christmas list. Sorry Jacqueline Wilson, but there's a new favourite in town!

I would rate this book an 8/10 and would recommend it for age 9+.

It's funny how France can look so beautiful, even through a mist of tears...

A<3
